Now and then I come across exceptional scientific activities, findings, products or solutions that I feel the urge to share. Occasionally I also encounter science related experiences that are worth describing and replicating.
My objective in this section is to communicate about exceptional science related findings and activities occurring around the world.

My first “Science in the World” report combines two stories into one. It describes a fairly new method, known as DNA barcoding, that uses genetic information to identify any living thing, and presents possibly the most exemplary citizen science project that I have encountered so far.
